The Armenian General Benevolent Untion was formed in April 15, 1905, by Boghos Nubar (1851-1930) alongside the other Armenian National Movement leaders. Originally in Cairo, Egypt the AGBU moved its headquarters to Paris in 1921. And during World War II the AGBU headquarters moved to New York, U.S.A.
